How can we help?
Quick answers to the questions walkers ask most. Can't find yours? Send us a message and we'll get back to you.
What is a walking pod?
A pod is a small group of neighbours who meet at a set place and time to walk together. Walking pods are called Walking Meetups — morning, midday, or evening. Every pod has a creator, a meeting spot, and its own private chat and check-ins.
How do I join a pod?
Browse the public walking-groups directory to find a pod near you, then request to join. Many pods are invite-only: a member shares a single-use invite link with you, you open it, create your account, and you're in. Invite links can only be used once and expire on their own.
What is an invite token and how does it work?
Invite-only pods use single-use tokens instead of open sign-up. A pod leader mints a token, which creates a link they can share by message or email. When the recipient opens the link and signs up, the token is consumed and cannot be used again. Nothing is posted anywhere automatically.
How do check-ins and the walk history calendar work?
Each morning you walk, check in on the pod page — it takes one tap. The walk history shows a real calendar, one month at a time: gold days with a check mark are mornings you checked in, today is circled, and the arrows let you look back at earlier months. Check-ins feed your pod's streak.
What do the flags on a pod mean?
The pod's creator sets its status. A checkered flag means the pod is active and walking. A yellow flag means it's just paused — for example while members are on vacation. A red flag means the pod is inactive. If you created the pod, you can flip its status right on its card.
Can pods be for other sports instead of walking?
Yes. When creating a pod, choose Walking, Bike riding, Golf, Tennis, Pickleball or Other sport. If you pick Other sport you can name it, sport pods show their own badge everywhere they appear, and the public directory always lists walking pods first.
How do victory videos work?
From My Journey or the pod page you can upload a short victory video and choose Private (your pod only) or Public (everyone). Every video is screened for appropriateness before anyone else can see it — approved videos play on the victories page, and public ones appear in the public gallery.
What does the AI promotion kit do?
After you create a pod or mint an invite, a pop-up offers ready-made promotion text for Facebook, X, Reddit, Meetup, WhatsApp and email, plus a local media pitch naming real stations in your city. The Share buttons copy the text and open your device's share menu — nothing is ever posted automatically; you always paste and post yourself.
How do I stay safe and report a problem?
Always meet in the public place listed on the pod, walk in daylight hours where possible, and review the Safety Guidelines page. If a member behaves inappropriately, use the in-app report tool on their pod or message — reports go straight to the moderation team, and you can also message us through the contact page.
Who sees my profile and progress photos?
Your name, city and fitness level are visible to members of your pods. Weight logs, food logs and progress photos are private to you. Pod messages are visible only to members of that pod. Admins can review reported content to keep the community safe.
