The best breakfast after a morning walk
Sunup Diet guide
Five protein-first breakfasts you can make in under ten minutes after a sunrise walk, and why the timing matters more than the calories.
The walk is the easy half. The breakfast that follows is what decides how the rest of the day eats.
Eat within an hour of finishing. Appetite hormones are unusually cooperative right after a walk, and a real meal now prevents the 10:30am collapse.
Target thirty grams of protein. That is the number where mid-morning snacking drops off for most people.
Five that take under ten minutes:
Three eggs scrambled with spinach and a slice of rye. Around 25g protein, and the fibre carries you to lunch.
Greek yoghurt with berries and a spoon of seeds. Around 20g, plus a second spoon of yoghurt gets you to 30g.
Cottage cheese on sourdough with tomato and black pepper. Around 28g and almost no effort.
Overnight oats made the night before with milk and protein powder. Around 30g and zero morning work.
A smoothie with milk, banana, peanut butter and protein powder. Around 35g for the mornings you are already late.
Skip the pastry-and-coffee combination. It is not a moral failing, it just guarantees you are hungry again in ninety minutes and the walk gets no credit.
