Habits
The 30-day sunrise walking challenge
Sunup Diet guide
A month-long structure for building the pre-dawn walking habit, with weekly targets, a rest plan and the milestones worth sharing.
Thirty days is long enough to build the habit and short enough to see the end. Here is the structure.
Week one — show up. Twenty minutes a day, five days. Distance and pace do not matter. The only target is leaving the house at the same time.
Week two — extend. Thirty to thirty-five minutes, five days. Add your protein-first breakfast within an hour of finishing.
Week three — add texture. Keep thirty-five minutes, but add one hill route and one longer weekend walk of an hour.
Week four — lock it in. Forty-five minutes, five days, plus the long walk. By now the alarm is doing less work than the group is.
Rest is part of the plan. Two lighter days a week keeps knees and shins happy. A slow twenty-minute walk counts as rest.
Milestones worth marking: day 7 (the habit is real), day 14 (the alarm gets easier), day 21 (people notice), day 30 (share the streak and invite someone into the next one).
Do it with a pod. A shared streak is much harder to break than a private one.
General guidance only — not medical advice. Talk to your doctor before changing your diet or activity level.
Put it into practice
Sunup Diet is free to join — build the habit with a local pod and track what you eat.
